I was in a discussion with a brother from the Middle East. He made a comment regarding the scripture, saying, “Why does Jesus say when the Son of man cometh, will he find faith on the earth?” (Luke ) In light of the fact that we are living in the end .   So what I’m seeing here, is that Jesus was expressing doubt (frightening thought) that when He returns, He would find the lives of Christians expressing faith through obedience and faithfulness that incites persecution and rejection from a Christ-hating world. Look at the lives of the patriarchs and the prophets.

Will He find faith? by Sparks White Melton Download PDF EPUB FB2

In Lukewhen Jesus asked the question, “when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”, it’s not like He didn’t know the answer to the question.

It was more of a statement of future fact than an actual question. A fascinating, almost haunting thing for me that Jesus said is this: “When the Son of man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke ) Jesus referred to Himself during His lifetime here as “the Son of man”.

The circumstances in which Jesus made this statement were not at a time when He was talking about His return to earth at the end of this age.

But it’s clear that He is. When Jesus returns, let Him find faith in you. Bert Farias' books are forerunners to personal holiness, the move of God, and the return of the Lord. They also combat the departure from the faith and turning away from the truth we are seeing today.

Will He Find Faith We’ve been studying the Jesus parable of the persistent widow that Luke wrote about in chapter 18 of his book.

Yesterday, I mentioned that the in its original context, the widow was not seeking “justice” as we might perceive the word originally used. I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth. he will. Psalm God is in the midst Will He find faith?

book her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. Psalm Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall Will He find faith?

book find faith on the earth. 9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners.

Our Gospel for this week ends with one of the most haunting lines in the New Testament. Jesus says, “when the Son of man returns, will he find faith on the earth?” The Christian faith has faded away, even in lands where it was once vibrant: Egypt, Turkey, North Africa, etc.

Will it endure in Western Europe, in our country. The answer is that He will find a lot of religion, but not a great deal of the Apostolic faith that He is really looking for. He is looking for those who heed His words in the Sermon on the Mount: ‘Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

Living by Faith. In Romans the apostle Paul makes the following statement, “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” This statement is the summing up of what the apostle has to say about the gospel.

The gospel is the power of God unto salvation, but only “to every one that believeth;” in it the. Genre/Form: Sermons: Additional Physical Format: Online version: Melton, Sparks White, Will He find faith.

Nashville, Tenn.: Broadman Press, ©   “When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” (Luke ) Maybe, maybe not. I always thought this was a sad, plaintive end to the parable of the persistent widow (Luke ) where Jesus encourages his disciples to always pray and never to give up.

Bible Verses about Faith. Matthew - And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”. Romans - So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Hebrews - And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

The Parable of the Persistent Widow. 18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.

Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?’ The Word says about Unbelief: Hebrews KJV “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. Luke “I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly.

However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” In any discussion on prayer, Jesus just can’t seem to not mention faith. If you look at any Gospel discourse on prayer you will find some reference to faith.

Abraham is mentioned 10 times in the book of Hebrews, and his example of faith is a major one in Hebrews Abraham and Sarah’s story is told in verses and His story began with God’s command to leave his homeland (Hebrews ; Genesis ).

Jesus wondered, “When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke ). How can we grow in the kind of faith He’s looking for. Today, millions are totally self-absorbed in their own lives, and their faith in God is greatly diminished. This is an amazing testimony of the power of God at work in the life of a woman who simply obeyed God.

This book will help the reader understand what walking by faith can look like. We need to see this kind of active faith alive in America, a selfless, obedient faith. I recommend this book to anyone who would like to stretch their s: 2.

Chesterton was speaking specifically about Christianity. In his book The Everlasting Man he contrasts two ways of analyzing the Christian faith. The first is from the inside. The second is from a million miles away. As he writes, “The best relation to our spiritual home is to be near enough to love it.

This is why we must persevere in our prayers. When He returns, Jesus will be looking for the kind of faith that never doubted God’s goodness and faithfulness in hearing us, no matter how long it takes for Him to prove it. It is for this reason that we confess “the mystery of faith” during the Mass.

So when the question is asked in Luke “will the Lord find faith on the earth,” when He comes again to avenge the saints and all those who have went before, the implication is that no, He will find very little faith here on earth.By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings.

And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.” Enoch The next “ancient” named in the Hall of Faith is Enoch, the man who walked with God. Enoch so pleased the Lord God that he was spared the experience of death: Hebrews (NIV).Faith is not a formula.

And I wouldn't even use the word 'relationship' - and probably not the metaphor of 'a journey'. The older I get, the more it seems that faith is a process - a determined focus on listening to the eternal, sifting out the noise and distractions and becoming closer with each breath and each word, to the fullness - and emptiness - of the pulse, hand and purpose of our.
